Tablet Users: Do you start with a pencil and paper doodle gesture/concept, scan and trace with the tablet in a graphics program OR use your tablet to doodle freehand in a graphics program to develop your concept/gestures?

I usually draw a rough sketch with pencil and then use tracing paper to draw a cleaner version of the sketch which I use to scan. It helps a lot with fixing fine details without having to deal with too many phantom eraser lines.

I sketch and outline with a felt tip multi-liner on paper first, then once it's neat I scan and colour.

Sometimes I Draw completely with the tablet though.

I sketch with the pencil, ink with the tablet... OR... sketchwith pencil... ink with ink.. and clean up with tablet :3

... but right now my tablet is gone so... XD

I try to draw them first but even tracing them is hard for me my hands just aren't steady enough. I'm getting better with it but goold ol' Paper and Pencil are still my prefered media.
