Space Okonomiyaki FX or Meat Lover's Space Omelet

So my husband and I decided to combine our love of food adventures and our love of Sgt. Frog / Keroro Gunso and attempt to make a mock Space Okonomiyaki FX Special (or as the dub calls it Meat Lover's Deluxe Space Omelet). Here is a screen shot from the Anime: [link] Obviously we decided to skip the tentacles.

We used this base batter recipe: [link] but used chicken stock instead of water and created a sauce from Mayo, Soy Sauce and Sriracha. We put ground turkey, bacon, cheddar cheese, onion and cabbage in it. Since we put so much stuff in it, we tripled the batter recipe. It was really tricky to flip over in the pan. Our garnishes to create the look of the creature were crab legs, a sunny side up egg and an olive slice. We made a mess and it is ugly, but tasted great and was so worth it! We never made or ate Okonomiyaki before. I'm sure we'll do it again, on a much smaller scale.
