This quote came from Ventress, but I think it suits Jedi Knight Barriss Offee too in some ways. She believed that the Jedi had lost their way with their involvement in the Clone War and orchestrated a bombing at the temple to prove that point. I feel like Barriss threw everything away for her ideals in the hopes that the Jedi would disassemble their military and start over.

unfortunately, her actions assured the Jedi's fall rather then prevented it, true, the Jedi did blink them selves with pride of their service to the light that they failed to see the source of corruption, instead she fomented more mistrust to the Jedi in the publics eye, allowing Darth Sidious to poison the Jedi, the senate and republic like a splinter even further, until it was far too late
